The brief

The piece arrived in a box with two snapped limbs, a missing forearm and thirty years of UV yellowing. The owner wanted it back on a shelf, not turned into something new — so the work was matched to the original sculptor’s language rather than my own.

Build notes

Stripped in a slow solvent bath to protect the resin, then re-pinned every join in brass. The missing forearm was sculpted in epoxy putty against reference photos of the surviving mirror-side limb.

Finishing

Repainted from bare, matching the original box art palette but with modern acrylics that will not shift colour the way the first finish did.
