We print
monsters.
You keep them.

Dystopian Forge builds one-off statues, busts and dioramas — resin printed at 25 microns, cleaned and pinned by hand, then painted until they stop looking printed. No mass production. No catalogue. Just your piece, on our bench.

What we build

Four kinds of
commission

If your idea does not fit any of these, send it anyway. Most of the work we are proudest of started as a question about whether something was possible.

01

Original statues

Concept to shelf. We sculpt, print and finish a piece that has never existed, in the scale you want it.

  • Concept & silhouette study
  • Digital sculpt
  • Limited runs available
02

Fan builds

Your favourite character, built at display scale with the detail the source material never had room for.

  • Reference-matched
  • Busts & full figures
  • Custom plinths
03

Dioramas

Multi-figure scenes with practical lighting, water effects and bases built as part of the story.

  • Practical LEDs
  • Water & atmosphere
  • Display cases sourced
04

Props & restoration

Wearable 1:1 pieces built to survive a convention, and old kits brought back from the box they arrived in.

  • Impact-tolerant prints
  • Re-sculpt & re-pin
  • Colour matching

The process

Bench to
doorstep

Four stages, with a checkpoint at the end of each one. Nothing moves forward until you have signed off on what came before it.

Full process
  1. 01

    Brief

You send references, scale and a deadline. We come back with a plan, a fixed quote and an honest timeline.

  2. 02

    Sculpt

Digital sculpt or kitbash, reviewed with turntable renders before a single millilitre of resin is used.

  3. 03

    Print & prep

Resin printed at 25 microns, then cleaned, cured, seam-sanded, pinned and primed by hand.

  4. 04

    Paint & ship

Airbrush, oils and pigments, sealed and photographed, then crated in custom foam and tracked to your door.

The benchStudio

Inside the forge

A small shop,
on purpose

Three resin machines, one filament machine, a spray booth and a paint bench. We could take on more work by outsourcing the finish — we do not, because the finish is the part you actually look at.

  • Printers3 × 8K resin, 1 × ASA-capable FDM
  • Resolution25 µm layers, 19 µm XY
  • FinishAirbrush, oils, dry pigment, real leaf
  • ShippingCustom-cut foam, insured, tracked

Word of mouth

What clients
say after

It arrived and my first reaction was that the photos had undersold it. The weathering reads as real damage, not paint.

Eighteen models, one visual language, delivered a week early. Half my group has since sent them their armies.

They restored a kit I assumed was dead. They matched the original sculptor instead of showing off.

Commissions

Tell us what you want built

We take on a limited number of commissions each month so every piece gets the bench time it needs. Send a reference, a scale and a deadline — you will hear back within two working days.
